February 2021 – pioneering work by LENNERTS & PARTNER GmbH
Thanks to the constructive cooperation of LENNERTS & PARTNER GmbH, the Institut für Stahlbetonbeweherung and other software providers, rebar shops and construction companies, version 3.0 of the interface for the exchange of reinforcement data was developed under the auspices of the BVBS. This new version has now been published and is available for free download on the homepage of the BVBS:
The interface is used to exchange reinforcement plans with 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional steel positions, mesh and special mesh positions. In 1995 the first version and 2000 the second version of this directive were published.
In practice, the interface has been proven for many years, yet there were some shortcomings that have been improved in the new version 3.0. This includes couplers, the indication of distance spacers, the identification of related staggered positions and clarification of the notation of bending angles directly following a radial bend.
No time-consuming manual inputting of steel positions is required. To import reinforcement plans digitally into our software, you only need the additional module Multi-Import. As you can see at the top of the picture, the module shows you the selected reinforcement plan with all included positions. These can then be checked and revised before they are imported. After successful import, the data will be further processed in the LP-SYSTEM and prepared for production.
